The Inspire Project is seeking placement opportunities for students in the Essex area, with a commitment of 3 days a week for 6 weeks, from 12th January to 22nd February 2026. Participating organisations will be offered a generous payment, complimentary training, and comprehensive support.

A recent survey revealed that student nurses' choice of future employment is largely influenced by their placement experiences. By exposing students to social care settings during their training, we can help strengthen the future social care workforce and address ongoing recruitment challenges.

Currently, the Inspire Project has 11 students based in Billericay (only one of whom can drive, so the others will need placements accessible by public transport), plus one student in Chelmsford and one in Colchester. They are specifically seeking social care environments where nurses are available to mentor students.

If you're interested in hosting a student nurse and have the capacity to do so, the Inspire Project would love to hear from you. Please reach out to Amanda Bennett, Clinical Learning Environment Lead, on amanda.bennett@snee.nhs.uk.
